NZ Yacht Services is a specialised yacht service company based in the Bay of Islands. We offer comprehensive and professional repair, service, and maintenance for both local clients and those visiting New Zealand.

Established in 2014, it was set up as a small boutique Yacht Rigging business offering full mast refits, painting and all aspects of rigging. With 20 years of experience in the removal and refitting of masts—including the replacement of standing and running rigging—along with full refits and mast painting, we are equipped to meet your needs. Our expertise has inspired Paul to design and fabricate unique custom-built trolleys, trailers, and stands to ensure that your mast is handled with the utmost care.
NZ Yacht Services is conveniently located near the Opua Marina, where we have a fully equipped workshop.
Paul has 25 years of experience in yacht rigging and a lifetime of involvement in yacht racing, beginning at the age of six when he sailed a small optimist in Christchurch. He has spent the last two decades working in Opua on cruising yachts arriving from the Pacific Islands, as well as on racing and cruising yachts throughout the Bay of Islands and the greater Northland area.
